What this is, plainly. A rule-based index (audit B1): CO-OPS tidal predictions at hand-picked structure, graded by moving water and light. It is a different animal from the bluefin scorer on purpose — no satellite term applies to stripers, and none is used. Predictions are deterministic, so this page is as correct offline as on; when the signal dies it replays the last copy it truly fetched, stamped with when. It does not know today's water temperature or where the bait is.

Tide & current predictions are NOAA CO-OPS station predictions (stations named per spot); times are shown in this device's clock — the stations are Eastern time [CHECK]. Sun times are computed on-device (NOAA approximation, ±2 min). The grades weigh moving water (peak ≥2 kt earns a point) and the dawn/dusk overlap — hand-set rules a Canal regular would recognize, not measured constants, and nothing here is calibrated until the catch log carries striper trips (target species: striped bass). Upgrade path per the audit: NECOFS/FVCOM Mass-Coastal spatial currents and finer bathymetry.
